Gabe came to AZ Wegie from Jim and Donna Armel of Forestkatz.  I cannot thank them enough for allowing Gabe to join our fur family.
Gabe will be the the "main man" at AZWegie.  So; you can look forward to some amazing litters from him in the very near future.
Gabe and his four sisters have been featured in two magazines: 2008 Annual Kitten Magazine and Cat Fancy Magazine December 2008 edition.  Gabe has personality plus- a real charmer.   He is collecting quite the group of admirers at shows.  They call themselves "Gabe's Groupies". Check the show news page to see where we will be showing next. I will be adding his pedigree information soon.

Lostwoods Keegan of AZWegie a.k.a. Keegan.  For a while, Maggie (see below) was the only Wegie at AZWegie. I travel frequently
with my job. Maggie got very lonely each time I left; in spite of the fact that I always had an in-home kitty sitter for her. The sitter said
that Maggie would just lay by the door and not eat or drink while I was gone. So, I contacted Lisa Vasa at Lostwoods and told her I
needed a playmate & companion for Maggie. Lisa said that Keegan from the Leprechaun litter would be the perfect kitty companion. In fact
Maggie and Keegan are half sisters. Oujikatz Comet of Lostwoods is the father to both Maggie and Keegan. The first night that I brought
Keegan home to meet Maggie, Maggie was heart broken. She was sad that I had brought another kitty home.  After all, 100% of my
time was spent loving Maggie and catering to her needs.  She couldn't understand why I wanted a second kitty.

Well, Keegan quickly convinced Maggie that she was not losing her mommy, she was gaining a little sister.  By the end of the first night,
Keegan and Maggie were cuddling together and rapidly becoming inseparable.  This was the beginning of what was going to be a very
special relationship.  Read the story about Maggie and Keegan sharing delivery duties and nursing duties with their first
litters that were delivered within hours of each other.

Keegan is a very sweet and loving little girl. She is the ambassador in the family.  She just wants everyone to get along. If fur starts flying
between Maggie and Gabe, Keegan is always there to negotiate a peace agreement between the two of them.  She is a wonderful mommy
to her babies. She loves to play and run with them  - if she is not busy cleaning or nursing them.. Her kittens are definitely bringing the kitten in
Keegan back to the surface.  All of her babies have inherited her sweet, loving personality.  I will update her pedigree soon

Maggie hugs Minnie Pearl

Rockatts Coke of AZWegie a.k.a. Maggie.  In this photo Maggie hugs her precious little girl, Minnie Pearl.  Maggie is a very special little lady.
She came to me from the Rockatts cattery in Castle Rock, CO.  I had several phone conversations with Sondra Evans. I told her I wasn't
sure if I wanted to get a Wegie or not.  I had just lost my old Wegie buddy Murphie.  I was broken hearted, and wasn't sure if I was ready to
get close to another Wegie . Wegies definitely steel your heart.  Sondra was very patient with me.  Finally, I decided that I did not want to live
without a Wegie in my home.  I flew up to Denver, got a rental car, and drove to Sondra and Brian's house.  The instant I saw Maggie, I fell in love with her. She was a precocious little girl.  She immediately walked into the carrier as if to say, "I'm ready to go!"

We bonded immediately.  All the way on the drive home to Phoenix, Maggie slept wrapped around my neck.  If she woke, she immediately
gave me a kitty kiss, and proceeded to caress my face with her soft little kitten paws. She immediately healed my broken heart.  Little did I know
just how special she really was. She is a very compassionate, funny, and mischievous little girl. She immediately learned to walk on a leash.
Maggie and I went on regular morning walks with my neighbor and her poodle.  You can only imagine the heads that were turned as we
strolled along our merry way :)
